Well, as the title shows, the ninth topic of the informative speech is on Indonesia...and the presenter responsibled to deliver the topic was Tasneem Omar (1 of my group members for BLOG matters) (^_^)v
without wasting a lot of time, let's begin with the topic first...
Indonesia is considered to be one of the most populous country in the world together with the United States of America, India and other parts of the world.
Indonesian people, on the other hand is dominated by Muslims, followed by Christian (Protestants & Catholics), Hindu, Buddha and other religious beliefs...
As far as I am concerned, Indonesia has a lot of natural resources that useful for the economic growth in Indonesia, unfortunately, there a lot of what so called "KKN" (Korupsi, Kolusi, and Nepotisme) everywhere,. and mainly because of this reason the rich become richer and the poor become poorer.
Indonesian people have faced a lot of economic problems due to the fact that the previous leader seek help from the IMF while facing economic crisis long time ago.
Despite the fact of the economic problems, there are also disputes and conflict that happened inside Indonesia itself or even with its surrounding neighbour, esp with Malaysia.
alrite then...here we go...
1........2.........3........
in terms of her presentation, I believe there are a lot of things I wanna say...hihihihi...(trying to be critical)
well, first and foremost, as far as I'm concerned, Indonesia has many problems, and yet she did mentioned some of them but the problem here is, why don't you try to make it more specific???
She did mentioned in GENERAL about those issues but not SPECIFICALLY on one single issue, coz I believe all countries that we have been assigned are having a lot of problems and conflicts as well, but of course we should choose either one or two and explain those SPECIFIC issue to the rest of the class...
I also believe that, she has a very good common of English language, but still she looked very unprepared coz she was reading her notes all the time, even though there weren't many sentences on her slides... :P
well,, unfortunately, she couldn't managed to pronounce SIMPLE words CORRECTLY... and that was another distraction... (but I think, you can ask and learn from other people on how to pronounce certain "malay" or "indonesian" words correctly, or else you don't need to mention all those things at all...)
n yeah, about "maintaining eye contact", from what I've observed, she did maintained her eye contact to one single person-Bro. Lutfi ONLY, rather than to the rest of the class (Am I rite?) the possible reason that I can think of is maybe, coz she wanna make sure with Lutfi whether the information being delivered is correct or not,, and it seems that she was unprepared (again)
Overall, your presentation was quite good but still you need a lot of improvements to make it more better (me too...) hihihihihi...
Gud Luck for everything Tasneem,, Chaiyyoooo...
